Go to your local library and pick up a copy of the 1040 Instructions, and also the 1040 EZ Instructions. At your age, there is a good chance you can use the 1040EZ, which is "easier". You need to send in the tax forms by April 17 this year. (Usually it is April 15).
After reading the instructions, let us know if you have more questions.

Here is a link to the IRS chart showing when they send out money based on when you file. E-filing makes it about 2 weeks faster. http://www.internet-taxprep.com/plindex.asp?welcome=WU9900641&page=pdf/p2043.pdf

The easiest way to do your taxes is to use an online tax program. Just don't use turbo tax, they get your numbers wrong sometimes. I like this one because it donates part of your fee to charity. And you can see how much you are getting back before you pay the fee.

There is also a free federal e-file program here that you can use if your income is less than $29,000, but you have to use this exact link.

Always go for e-filing and you could get your tax return in less than 2 weeks (Most of the time within a week with direct deposit) from the date you filed.
