That's what happens when you live in a corporate oligarchy, which is what America has become.

I love these Corporate Welfare Questions. Economics 101 - Corporations, hire people, make money, hire more people. Those people are productive and pay taxes. Government "hand-outs" to corporations are not gifts, they are investments used by corporations to Grow. The more they grow, the more people they hire. Unemployment goes down, less people are on welfare and actually feel good about what they are doing.

Try your theory on a small scale at home. Save up 1000 dollars. You now have the choice to give that 1000 dollars out to your local bum. Did you solve his problem. Consider taking that 1000 dollars and starting an eBay business selling odd and ends from flea markets. You don't have the time to go to each flea market, but your local bum has all the time in the world. Hire him to go to the first few markets and pick up what you need. Your eBay business will generate profits (you know those evil, mysterious things your teacher was telling you about). You can then use those profits to continue to hire your local bum, and eventually turn him into someone who is proud of what he does, and take him out of his situation. Are you subverting and ignoring him by investing in business? Or are you helping him? Aren't you really subverting him by handing him the $1000 initially?

Basic stuff man, you gotta stop listening to the anti corporate BS thats on the web. It doesn't even make sense in a real world. In a classroom it all sounds wonderful, Marx makes all the sense in the world until you apply it to humanity.

Good luck and keep thinking

hey, CEOs worked hard for that money!

And don't give me that anti-immigration sh*t. My wife is from Argentina and we're going through the process right now. I am an American citizen and I have the right to marry who I want. She is not going to be receiving welfare, as a matter of fact, part of the immigration process, ignoramus, is my signing an affidavit saying I can support her financially. If I fail to do so, if she applies for food stamps or any other government assistance for the poor, THE U.S. GOVERNMENT WILL SUE ME FOR THE MONEY. Immigration and welfare are unrelated issues.

I agree with you that we need to stop the corporate welfare.

When congress gives earmark money to a corporation, the corporation will put it to good use, create jobs, create economic growth. It benefits most of the country. When you give out welfare to the poor, it's mostly money down the drain. Sorry to the poor people that need this money, they need to make every effort they can to be of value to the US, like get an education and work for a living.

That is strictly a subversive Republican policy, the poor have paid taxes too and deserve to be recognized as well, as America is a Democracy not a Monarchy, or Fascist State.

America is one big corporation- so it understands rabid capitalism. People are hooked on cheap goods and patriotism that serves corporate interests FIRST. Yep.
