Mary is right how many people you can invite depends on how many are friends with the sim doing the inviting and how good of a computer and or graphics card you have.

The nunber of people you can invite depends on the speed and amount of memory on your computer. Most likely, your computer can't support more than two sims (plus however many are in the family), so that's all you can invite.

You can invite up to 8 sims over for a party.
I think you have to be resonable friends with your sims so that they actually come over.

well if you have more closte sim friends then later it will let you invite more friends.you can have up to 8 but theres a cheat code that lets you have more than 8...i can't remeber it at the momment but its somewhere on this site...if you still can't find it then register and ask this question there:
