Yeah sure, it's called an affair and it's also called you being his sweet little office plaything. Any respectable man (who is worth having) will treat you with respect.

By taking advantage of his position (and yes even if you are willing he is STILL taking advantage) he is demonstrating his lack of respect as well as his extrememly low regard for you. If he truly had genuine, meaningful, romantic (loving) feeling for you then he would at the very least want to protect you from harm and personal scandal. He is NOT doing this! Please don't fall for his lies!!!!

extremely volitile situation. Business and love relationships dont mix well. It may be heaven now but what about tomorrow. What if a male boss decides to move beyond his secretary and his secretary wont let go, a scourned woman as his business secretary is a very dangerous situation. This is only 1 of 100s of examples of relationships gone bad and they do eventually. Just think what damage the secretary could do to the business if she goes on a revenge party. Ive seen it happen many times before, and none were very pretty. Another if the secretary quits both the relationship and job and the boss isnt ready, what kind of reference do you think the boss will give? You really cant fool around in your own backyard. Hope you understand this answer and really think about it before something happens. Good luck

Well, I am sure its not completely impossible but in most cases when you add a romantic relationship to a work environment, it doesn't end up turning out good for long.
There is a lot of need for privacy when it comes to a professional atmosphere where co workers will become wise to what you both are doing. It could end up costing you or him your jobs and make it very difficult for a relationship to withstand.
If I was you, and if felt this relationship was worth it, would consider moving on to another job doing the same thing so that what you do personally with this now boss would not become a conflict of interests. If it is not possible to change jobs or you don't want to, then I would suggest leaving intimate relations with your boss out of your life. It is not likely to have a good ending.

The main question to ask for this type of relationship is whether or not there is going to be a problem with HR or surrounding co-workers. The relationship might be fine and dandy but if it ends, the secretary could feel her job in jeopardy because her boss is her ex. That isn't a very good situation to be in. Also, the secretary might receive harsh or negative feedback from co-workers, thinking that she only received her position because she is dating the boss. Ideally, I think the tumultuous work environment would not be worth it. I think it definitely would be cute if the secretary was from a different firm and her lover not her boss!

It may seem meaningful at first, but let me tell you about what happened at a company I worked for.

The boss and his secretary starting dating, his secretary got to take 3 hour lunches, and other employees were instructed to do her work for her and not approach her to do anything. Other employees didn't like it, so they contacted the corporate office, who came to investigate what was going on. Well to make a long story short, it came down to being him or her where their jobs were concerned, well the big boss threw his secretary under the buss, and guess what no job for her and she had children. So nothing good can come of it EVER. You will always be the one to sacrifice.

Yup! My aunt had a fling with her boss, forced him to divorce his wife (who had 4 children) told him to transfer somewhere else, then made him pay for her huge wedding. And now they live in a multi million dollar home, have 3 kids, and she's pampered all day.

Somewhere in there I'm sure they had sweet little love notes.

I think so as long as they know when and where to do things. Also understand at work the boss has to run the company like a boss no matter what

Why not? Many people meet their matches at work, school, etc. I'd want a romantic relationship with my boss (if he were hot). I think it would make work fun!

Very possible but if things go sour in the relationship can make for a very stressful work environment.

I wouldn't recommend starting something like that. It just opens the door for problems down the line.
