I am going for casual, but I think wearing jeans would be too much navy blue.

i love jeans and navy blue. wear it all the time. I really don't consider jeans navy blue. You could also wear brown or khaki. I have even worn grey pants. And depending on the time of year, I have also worn white pants. but usually only my capris in spring when it is too cold for shorts but too warm for pants. very nautical.
