Brandy killed someone in a car accident and there was no signs of drugs or distractions. Do you still think she should go to jail for manslaughter? It was clearly an accident.

It was an accident--so no. Other famous people like Rebecca Gayheart and Matthew Broderick were also in accidents in which people were killed, and yet neither of them served jail time (although both paid a small fine and were on probation).

They are famous, but still people. And a normal person wouldn't be placed in jail for this, since it truly was an accident.

I dont which is worse. Her having an accident that caused someone to be killed or the family that is trying to take advantage of her celebrity by suing her for 50 million dollars in a wrongful death lawsuit. Should the evidence show that there was violations of the law that led up to this horrible incident, then of course there should be a punishment but not jail time. Most accidents are a result of one or more distractions. Whatever the evidence is will determine in which direction this will go.

She did not directly kill the women who's car she hit. The car she struck spun out of control and apparently hit or was hit by another vehicle. I think she should go to jail for some amount of time not for manslaughter 1 but maybe manslaughter 2. I think the multi-million dollar case filed against her is plenty too.
If this had been someone other than a "star" we wouldn't be hearing about any of it.

No, it was an accident. Look I dont know why people are saying that we would go to jail because 3 months ago a friend of mine was in the car with 2 of her friends and the driver killed her and the other girl. She isnt going to jail and I don't know if I would really like to see her go to jail even though she killed my friend.

Okay here's how that went down, yeah she hit the person but as the person spun out they were hit by another car and THAT was the car that killed the person. And yet, they're wanting to charge her for it. It was an accident, they should just let it go as that. Prosecuting her for manslaughter would be bull.

no matter if she ought to get detention middle time or not isn't for me or everybody else except the courts to confirm. i grow to be not there and nor do i understand the completed situations of the coincidence. yet i understand that at the same time as each body is specializing in Brandy and no matter if she ought to get detention middle time, a really youthful mom is lifeless, leaving little ones in the back of to morn her lack of life. Brandy's destiny shouldn't change that reality. per chance what each body ought to concentration on is those unfavorable, motherless little ones. convinced, if Brandy grow to be at fault, and from what i'm listening to she grow to be, then she ought to get her purely due. yet I have universal and heard of similar circumstances the position the guy ought to are growing probation and fined with out doing detention middle time. once again, regardless it really is now unlikely to convey that female again neither is it going to make those youngsters soreness a lot less bearable.

Of course she should go to jail no matter if it was an accident or not. The whole point of the issue is to pay the consequence for your actions. It wouldn't be fair if she got off lightly and paid a small fine. Just put yourself in the shoes of the people who lost the love one. If all Brandy had to do was pay a small fine for you, would you accept her apology; I know I wouldn't.

It doesn't matter if you are a celeb, regular Joe, or any other type of living, driving being. You pay the time when you do the crime no matter what it was.

Yes.. He killed someone. What if an average Joe or Jerry did this? Would they get to jail for manslaughter? Absolutely. He, whoever he is, is human too and he should get everything fairly too. That reminds me of Naomi Cambell. She escaped seven years jail and got a couple of days community work. Or what ever it was..

Have a good day though.

I feel for her but I don't know all the details it does seem a little stiff sentence just from what I hear from the News Channels and she is actually I think about the only one who had an accident and not on drugs or drunk. I hope she comes out of it ok......

It is all well and good that the death was accidental.

If a court of law finds her guilty, she should serve
the sentence that the judge gives her. There should
not be a double standard where if you're wealthy or
famous you can commit crimes and get away with
a hand slap or paying a fine.

I do realize that this can and does happen, but in a
perfect world, it wouldn't.
