I lost a bet to my girlfriend and now must dress up as a girl for prom. Dress, shoes, hair, makeup, nails, underwear, even a name. all of it. should i let her dress me up sometime before prom just to see what it's like? She says she can make me look just like a girl. I'm 5'9 and weigh 135lbs. I have light brown hair that goes to my shoulders. What would be good outfits to try on? What is a good name also? she wants to call me ashlee, amber, brittany, christina, or mallori

Your best bet is NOT to do that.

Dude, you STILL haven't picked out an outfit? Okay. First of all most men have great legs and look killer in a dress. If you have great legs then you can get a dress that shows them off. Apparently it's okay for people to wear knee-length dresses to formals now. Weird but that works in your favor because you can see leg. For curve you want a dress that is a bit fuller from the waist down. Have your girlfriend explain the whole drawing attention to the skinniest part of your waist thing. Then have it the full skirt below that. Your breasts are going to need coverage, so get a dress where the whole boob is covered. And don't do spaghetti straps because that will make your shoulders look broad. Get a dress with thicker straps.

For shoes don't go with strappy sexy stuff otherwise you'll be tripping all night. Find a shoe that has a lower heel. It will be easier to walk in.

Yes you should do a dress rehearsal before the prom. Women aren't born knowing how to be girly. It's learned over time. You need to learn it all at once.

Now go and shop! :)

P.S. I agree with the safety warning. If a straight guy mistakes you for a girl and you dance with him you could be in a lot of trouble if he finds out you're not a girl. Straight men get awfully pissed when they think their manly status has taken a hit. And also if your gf can't make you into a passable girl you do run the risk of people tormenting you all night. I'm not saying not to do it. I'm just saying go into it knowing what you could be getting yourself into.

Have fun, the both of you!
But mind you high school proms are not always known for tolerance. My personal take on that is that Eugenics was approved of 120 years or so ago in America when they were first coming up with mandatory high schools. Part of the selective breeding program is that approved of specimens (jocks, cheerleaders etc..) being able to pick on and sometimes attack those who are different (nerds, f a g s, d y k e s, etc)
Recognize a high school prom for what it is.
Recognize the potential danger and if you don't think you'll be safe doing this-don't!
I mean look at the ignorance of other posters on this question. And this is supposed to be the LGBT section!
You and your girlfriend can have fun in private if she has to make you pay off the bet! You can probably have more fun in private being her lesbian lover.
Best of Luck!

Oh well. I read a book a while back about someone who retired from the CIA and was permitted to write about parts of his experience. He arranged a system of disguise (my mother got to meet him once) the CIA used at times. In his book he starts with a story of when he was a rowdy teenager and got a buddy to agree to go as a couple and then bust up the party by starting a fight with certain people. They had a coin toss. He lost. His mother helped him with dress and make up, she thought the idea was a hoot. Sure enough, some guy like the class president wanted to dance with him, so he punched him. The two guys made their escape after the place was in an uproar. Go for it. Who knows, maybe when you get out of college the CIA will teach you Farsi, put you in a Burka and let you save the world from militant Moslems in the armpit of the world.

You should try it before the prom, because you will probably have to pluck your eyebrows and make other preparations in order to look good. If you are going to do it...do it right. Walk in heels prior to the event, so that you can ensure you don't trip.

Try not to pick a nasty, trashy dress...choose something that a 'real' girl would want to wear. And give yourself a name like Sam or Ronnie.

And most of all - have fun. Afterall, thats what the bet was about, right?

Go for it & let her do everything she wants, you'll have fun. I've let girlfriends dress me up & we had lots of fun. Why not dress-up like each of the girls she suggested, take some photos & decide which girl you look best as, then do it all over again.

Let her dress you up first. But if you are going to do it make her shave your legs and everything else. Let her dress you with everything she would put on herself. If you like go for it. How wold the school feel about this and others students? What you to do in private can be alot of fun together but not out in public.

I have been cross dressing for years and it can be a good thing.

Do it! It should be fun.
Let her wear the tux. You could make a fun game of it... and not eat too much crow for losing the bet.
You should do a dress rehearsal... might make for an interesting dress-up session w/ the girlfriend.
Name: "Sally" would be my suggestion

You sound like you may actually be into it. Are you? Well if you are interested in it and would let her do it, then I say go for it. I can't guarantee your future reputation or votes as prom queen :) Good Luck. I like "Amber"

wow, that sounds like fun. make sure you dress up a few times before hand. have a little dress rehersal. maybe even invite a few friends over to see you. it will feel quite scary dressing up in front of others, so it would be best to get used to it first..
