the athletics

l'm sure you mean city or state name and not their team name (Athletics). Their tradition goes back a very long time and l'm sure they will insist on being known as the A's or Athletics no matter what city they go to. As for the city or state name, it could be the San Jose A's or California A's or whatever city they decide to move to. But l think you can be sure that they will keep the name A's and Athletics!

The A's have been the A's in every city they ever played in. When they get a new ballpark why should that change? It shouldn't.

Athletics.

That what they were called in Philadelphia and that's what they were called in Kansas City.

As for the name of the city, if they're anywhere close to Oakland, they can still use that name. After all, the only NFL team that actually plays their home games in New York state is the Bills.

I'm a huge A's fan and I would be devastated if they changed their name to something else. Like the other guy said, they were the A's in Philly and KC so why change now?
