Your observaton or feeling that negativity overrides the positive in the world now is but an appearance, not an evidence, for yours is a relational view.

Due to no lacking on your part, a keener observation is that negativity (seemingly) overrides the positive (in the outer world) is proof positive and testatment to the existence of laws that do hold sway throughout all life where there exists duality. Such is the Law of Balance -- of Opposites.

Opposites have their levels and their degrees, too.

Some are obvious; but the greatest and highest of origins are hidden from human perception, and centered elsewhere.

Most import of all is this principle: negativity is rampant to the obvious world maybe, by reason that positivity has overridden or succeeded at balancing life deep to the inner, or unseen, world.

Balance does not depend on ones's observations or validations to have existence. One cannot expect to see the greatest implications of life expressing to the eyes of the profane masses, for this would indeed cause certain harms or "disaster" as you are intimating that you fear...

Moreover, the reciprocals of what we see and observe do ultimately have their existence where only the most evolved sight and conception of them have their being, those who well surpass our capacities here, and in whose foundations are not centered on anything material as we know them here.

In short, one may feel that so much decay is witnessed here, but this is only because a bounty of fresh creation abounds in the higher worlds. And so a balance action has to ensue to prevent a certain implosion or collapse of the dualities that underpin life -- again, life as 'we', here on Earth, know it.

Fear not. The universe is working well; clicking like a fine-tuned clock. These calamities and all the unrest you and many others observe and feel and agree that will result in destruction, is not the case at all. But rather, these many dark events are actually an indication that the universe is well on-line adjusting itself -- It is alive... See? Do you not have your ups and downs? Of course you do! Well, no different is this for the universe. Everything Lives and has Consciousness, has being...

See?

Why is someone who signs with a smile face assuming it is all going to hell in a hand basket? What disaster is left that we need to face that we haven't already faced and at least some of us survived. The world view is a terrible thing if you spend too much time with the 30 second sound bites or listening to people that can preach a good gloom and hellfire before they pass the plate.

Yes, there are large problems in the world, always have been. Now we are noticing, which is the first step to improving them. Soon, improvement of some of these things will an expectation. When I was young people still had to sit at the back of the bus, crosses burned, people were beaten or hanged if they spoke up for voting rights, women were sexually attacked in the workplace on a regular basis, Mexican children were not allowed in schools, migrant workers were sprayed with poison when they sprayed the crops, maids still bowed when the owners of the house walked by. Now, in my lifetime, the expectation is that this should not happen and if it does, more then one voice will speak out. I am just happy that I lived to see the Klan needing police protection from the citizens when they march

Concur with others here. Premise is suspect.

Negative gets more press yet I see positives every day.

It is a balance, good and evil exist together or none exist.

Since I have no control over when the world will end, I am not going to focus on it; I would rather be in the moment and not be a force for negative.

I don't agree with your premise. In the main stream media, the negative news is always trumpeted. Positive news is ignored or used as filler on the back pages. Newspapers and TV are in business to sell advertising. So, they need viewers, readers, customers. Don't get sucked in by the bias.
I am very positive about the future in the US. Many millions of people go to work every day, earn, and invest. I don't see anything negative about that. People who earn, save, invest are betting on the future, otherwise why bother?
Negative attitudes would not cause disaster. At worst, if negative attitudes prevailed, the country would fall into a lethargy, there would be no growth, no new developments, and we would dry up as a great civilization.

Yes, and this is inevitable...This is not a view or opinion, this is verdict... based on deep understanding of a process and structures of movement called human consciousness. That state human consciousness occupied NOW...Disaster is not an end result, it is a continuation of conceived process war-peace-war and so on. Disaster will be overcome, then Peace arises. peace after first glimpse of it(blissful time) slowly becomes warlike, deteriorating from within by restless minds and there is war again...US found the way to redirect outcome of its warlike activity outside of its peace for long time...That is why nothing happen in American soil for centuries...But what goes around COMES around...There is a Law known widely. Misunderstood, perhaps. It is no matter who is right or who is wrong, does not matter of how bright ideas laying beneath warlike activity...Law is unbreakable, just matter of time. We making peace through our unrest...peace must be Done through our Peace.... Same attract the same...

The negativity has outweighed the positive for some time now, just take a look around the world.... and I DO SEE AND KNOW that if the world continues down the path it's on, humankind is doomed to a chaotic and disasterous end.(hence my name) and honestly, i can't wait for that day.

Six billion people, dwindling natural resources,"God ain't makin' no more real estate".I see it as a natural reaction to a stressful situation, albeit in most cases sub-concious.I see disaster, but not as the end result.

i think positivity (human social behavior of course) has always been overshadowed by negativity.
this is the nature of our life on earth.
what about the wild west??
what about the dark ages??
the reason today seems worse than past ages is because of
A: the media
B: massive overpopulation of humans.

if we are careful we will prevail, but i suggest you put your faith in something a little more permanent than the power of one finite species.
good luck
