First, you must realize that America has been Christian since it's creation and has never become some sort of fascist Christian regime that slaughters all those who oppose Christian indoctrination. Second, you and all the other whiners like you who seem to feel that it's wrong for a government to represent the MAJORITY of it's people (the majority are indeed Christian), need to learn first what seperation of church and state really means and what it was actually intended for before you try to use it to bolster your opinion. Seperation of church and state has NEVER meant that the Government cannot or should not use religion as a basis for it's decision making. It simply means that Congress cannot set up an official religion. What does that boil down to? Basically that Congress cannot set up an official religion that every citizen has to follow, it cannot prohibit religious expression (in this way the decision to not allow prayer in public schools is actually unconstitutional). See you learn these things when you delve more deeply into matters and learn the context of things instead of twisting words in the Constitution to mean what you want it to.

i agree, there's nothing but blame going around on TV and everywhere. Democrates call Republicans corrupt, Republicans call Democrates spineless, and people just go around and around blaming the next guy for not doing anything, and then nothing gets done.

If only it was just a problem in America......
Most countries are pissed about the genocide in Darfur (at least they better be) but NO ONE is doing jack about it. They all just run around saying that the next country should help first, then they yell at us because we're also not doing anything (even though we are a little busy with 2 wars)

As for Christians deciding who gets the tickets to heaven; i think that's pure hypocrisy. Jesus said to tell everybody about him, not just the people who we think would look good there.
If there are people who say you can't go to heaven, they forgot that they are just as much a dirty sinner as anyone else.
If i was judged by what i did, i would be going to hell first class. But Jesus saved me, just like he's willing to save anyone.

hope something helps there.

its disgusting. Im a christian but im gonna play devil advocate for a minute. christians judge people-- oh your gay your going to hell-- then they flip out if you say the same to them and all of a sudden its "Only God can judge us"

But its not their fault. their parents teach it to them. I go to a catholic school and people are always saying "oh Mr. Smith, Katie is cheating" or "you cant cheat off me" then you get to RELIGION CLASS and all of a sudden its "megan do you let people cheat off your test-- I gonna ok" (MEgan is the smartest religion kid in the class)

So they didnt think of it themselves. It is this and the previous generation that skrewd us up. thanks to the pot smokin hippies the country is going down the toliet.

But i totaly agree with u

All true.

Its not about real religion. Its about using religion as a feel good mask for obtaining money and power.

And yes, we ARE bigots to our own people. Sad.
Thanks conservative christians!

What you describe are are typical for the unintelligent and quite often willfully ignorant.

But the best description of the problem is summed up in the first word of your question.

We are ALL sinners. We do not choose who goes to heaven.
