actually "It was created by Simon Fuller (manager of the Spice Girls and S Club 7) and developed by Simon Jones of Thames Television."
but Simon Cowell was one of the judges from Pop Idol and The X Factor and also Cowell is the producer and the creative force of Pop Idol and its international offspring.

No. First of all, let me correct what you said so I can actually read it.
Do you think Simon should get kicked off American Idol for his cruel comments to others?
Still a no. Simon is usually not as cruel as he is portrayed. Many times, he is the only one offering real criticism to the contestants. Simon will be the first person to tell the contestants when they've done well, and he is the first person to tell them they sound terrible or off pitch when they really do. Honesty in critique is something we should value.
Keep in mind that the contestants who do poorly on the auditions are set up for these auditions by other judges who determine who gets in to see Paula, Randy, and Simon. So when Simon tells one of these contestants who can't sing at all that they can't sing at all, it's part of a staged show.

Not at all. Yes he is very MEAN and RUDE but the thing is if these people are untalented the industry is just as rude, if not ruder. In the entertainment industry you are held up to certain standards. Besides, his nasty comments sometimes make stars out of wanna be Idols or runner ups ( least we forget William Hung----I really try ),

Absolutely not. He is the only completely honest judge. Without him these people will not know how good or bad they are. It's so much better to be perfectly honest then to side step and just say things like "your good but not what we're looking for" instead of "you are terrible and should not make a fool of yourself". These people go on the show to get critiqued so that's what they should get and Simon gives that.

Being he is the shows creator, I highly doubt that will ever happen. And no, I don't think he should be kicked off. He is just brutally honest.

He owns (and produces?) the show and all it's spin-offs, so that'll never happen. Besides, it's watching him being a prick that makes the show appealing to many viewers.
