I was married the first time for 23 years, divorced 10 years ago, but never dropped my then married name. Now I have been newly married for a year, but still use my old name on all documents, i.d. etc. What trouble is this going to be trying to obtain a passport?

You shouldn't have any troubles because your name is still on all your identification as far as I know.

I've been divorced for 6 years and still have my ex-husband's last name I don't have any troubles getting anything. As long as all the records were properly changed at the time of your first marriage (and you didn't change them again with your second) everything should be the same.

If you changed some of the records with your second marriage you will probably need to change the rest in order to receive a passport. :D

No trouble ,just bring your birth certificate, and drivers license and ssi card and then if you want your passport in your maiden name you can get it but if you have your drivers license in your married name it might be better just to get the passport in your married name as when you travel they ask sometimes for two pieces of id.. but well ask at the passport agency they can give you the correct advise but I would bring the items i mentioned and even marriage license so whatever you decide you can do without having an additional trip to pick up other items from home

You will need a copy of your birth certificate (seal raised), and a copy of your current marriage license. You will get the birth certificate back in the mail with your passport.
It will cost about $100.00, allow 3 to 6 weeks for processing and delivery, but you can also spend an extra $100.00 to expedite the service.
If you are going to pay by check, make sure that check has the last name you are currently using on it.

Your passport would be refused as your final call would not tournament. You the two could legally exchange your surname by way of regulation to the single you're applying or exchange your passport utility to the suranme on your start certiifcate.

you cant get a passport in your new married name if your other documents have your old, you'll have to get your Social Security changed ( will need to give them a certified copy of your marriage license) then you can get your Id changed, THEN they will allow you to do a passport in the new name...it's a long process
