I think it's really easy for people to focus on money. We get so caught up in paying bills, making it paycheck to paycheck, trying to save for rainy days, paying for medical, paying taxes, paying mortgages, etc, that we end up focusing on money rather than what is really important. I don't think money is everything but I admit that I myself get caught up in thinking about where I am going to get the money to pay for my bills sometimes. It just seems like there are so many people in this country that are struggling to keep their head above water that they can't imagine focusing on anything else.

When I lose my focus and start thinking about money I try to refocus myself and tell myself that money isn't that important. My family and my health is what's important. I am lucky to be able to pay my Bills and have food and shelter. There are people in our country who go to bed hungry or don't have a place to live. When I think of others in situations like that I realize what is really important and that is the people in my life.

I would have a hard time believing that money is the only thing that determines social class. I think it used to be more that way because people with a lot of money were able to afford the best schools and therefore had better educations. What determines "high class" is education (formal or informal) & worldliness. You can't say it's only money because then you have to admit that people like Britney Spears and Paris Hilton are actually high class and, well, that's just not true.

And, no, money isn't everything. What's a pile of cash if you can't even look at yourself in the mirror?

I wish at least half of our problem could be solved with money, by the way, it is true that our society qualify our capability to belong or participate in social groups considering the amount of money each have, but water always run along its own bed, almost without exception individuals realize in their life that they missed a lot of valuable things because they were flying to high to see them, their richness and money didn't let them to see a flower blossom, a butterfly spinning in the air or a sparkling dawn. It is true social class in America and many other countries use that scale to measure your opportunities to approach those social levels, it is a shame.

well sadly yes, every thing now a days involve money. If you say you'd need your health. Well to keep your helth you kind of need money. I am not saying money is the only thing we need to do, but we need money and health for whom self and one's family. But you will not need the excess of money for the sole whom does this will always suffer from the greed for more. People should only take what they need to live a comfortable life.
