I am afraid that the entire liberal media complex is guilty of "memory failure". Wasn't it just a couple of years ago that the liberal media was feeding us the line that a covert CIA agent was illegally 'outed' by someone in the White House?
It has apparently gone unnoticed by the liberal media that there never was a crime committed in "outing" a undercover agent since Valerie Plane had already been out of the field for such a long time that (according to the definition of "covert agent") she didn't meet the legal definition of covert field agent.
This entire Libby trial is about a "process crime". In other words, there never was a crime committed and the special prosecutor, Fitzgerald, already had testimony that Armitrage was the original leaker. In the investigation of the 'non-crime' it was determined that Libby lied to the investigators, regarding the non-crime. So this entire "tempest in a teapot" really is about the special prosecutor, Fitzgerald, not wanting to be remembered for an expensive four year investigation of a non-crime without a conviction.

NO ONE was charged with leaking a name - that was apparently NOT a crime!
The charges against Libby are serious. If he did it, he should be found guilty.
ALL of the prosecution withnesses, however, have had major memory problems. the media is reporting the direct testimony, but NOT the defense questioning which has exposed the weaknesses of the case.
I would guess he'll be acquitted.

Based on the evidence so far, it will be hard for him to be acquitted unless he can come up with a flipping good story. He is on trial for lying, they always get caught in the cover up. Cheney's own staff member stated that she told him about Valerie Wilson's status 3-1/2 weeks before Libby claimed he found out from Tim Russert. Judith Miller who went to jail to protect him said he told her about Valerie Wilson, 2-1/2 weeks before he claimed he knew about Wilson. You're living in a dream world. What is the obsession with William Clinton? Numbnuts- he has been out of office for how long?- 6 years and you are all still upset about sex. Your priorities are screwed, no pun intended, as usual. Get upset about deaths based on lies. You would have wanted Clinton's head on a stick if he had done what this moron has done, contributed to the murder of over 3,000 of our troops in a war of choice by attacking a country that did not have anything to do with the attack on us, or do you still believe the tripe that Bush 43 and Cheney spewed.
