How long you wait to have intercourse relies upon on the form you sense and how lots discomfort it motives. some human beings in basic terms wait a week, some greater. in case you sense such as you're arranged that is excellent. while you're breastfeeding do no longer purchase into the myth which you won't be able to get pregnant whilst doing so. you particularly can! I in basic terms help you be attentive to this because of the fact i'm a type of who believed it and, voila, have been given yet another infant!!! besides, how long you wait relies upon on you. I in no way waited 6 weeks, probable under 2 and each little thing develop into basically superb. No concerns suitable to the intercourse, yet i might think of two times approximately no risk-free practices except you want yet another one in 10 months!

Doctors will tell you to wait six weeks for the following reasons:
-- it gives your body time to heal;
-- the postpartum bleeding has usually stopped;
-- there's less chance of an infection getting in because everything isn't so, well, tender and raw;
-- sex may be less painful because of the healing;
-- they've given you the go-ahead at your six week check-up.

I did not wait six weeks, mainly because I had no tearing or stitches and my husband is a big whiner. It's purely a personal choice you should make, taking in to consideration the advice of your OB or GP. If you've had a tough delivery or lots of stitches, they'll probably tell you to wait six weeks or even longer. Always listen to your doctor -- they know best.

Because your body is still readjusting to the change and if you were to happen to get pregnant again you might cause some serious health problems for both you and the baby. Plus your body in general needs time to heal.

If you've just had a baby, and you're not at the 6-week date yet for sexual intercourse, I would love to know HOW you have that kind of energy. I mean really. What are you eating? Getting enough sleep? My god the energy that you must have.

Of course, if you're just curious and asked the question, it makes sense. I just can't believe that anyone would feel that... energetic. I'm at 35 weeks right now, and I'm not sure I'm ever letting him touch me again!!!

I only waited to six weeks because DH wasn't home at the time. I had a super-easy delivery, no tearing, short bleeding time afterward. I probably would have at four weeks had he been home. However, we most certainly would have used some form of birth control. It's a personal thing. You will know whether you're able or not.

You are supposed to wait the entire six weeks so your body can heal. Just because you are healed on the outside does not mean you are on the inside. Also.. you can get pregnant REALLY easy after having a baby so they want you on birth control first. That being said: Hell no. I couldn't wait. I haven't with any of my kids. We just use a condom and take it easy. If it hurts, we stop. But, to be technical, your supposed to wait. Good luck

Its best to wait 6 weeks so you can let yourself heal. It is also best to wait til after your postpartum check up which is probably 4-6 weeks, and if doctor says its ok, then go for it.

Well first off you are the most fertile at that point at any given time. so be very careful if you don't want another one right away. Second you need to give you body time to heal. And third who would want to have sex if you are bleeding that long. I say WAIT.

Six weeks is much more than adequate. The main concern is with damaging an episiotomy, and once that is sufficiently healed, you're good to go. It is a matter of comfort as much as anything.

Yes I waited and you should, too. Your body just went thru a HUGE ORDEAL, even if you didn't deliver vaginally. It's not ready for that kind of thing. Also, you are bleeding and at risk for infections. Ask your dr for more info, I'm sure s/he will know more.

you have to wait until the doctor clears you which will probably be your 6-week follow up visit. you need to be sure you are completly healed before doing anything. you don't want to risk infection.
