Respiration is the process that takes place in the mitochondria which creates ATP for the cells to use as energy.

Breathing is the process of adding oxygen and removing carbon dioxide from the blood stream in the lungs.

Oxygen is required to make ATP and carbon dioxide is a byproduct of respiration.

respiration is the process by which cells in the body are able to receive the required oxygen and to remove the co2 waste. Breathing is the mechanical method by which respiration can be brought about. You can have respiration without breathing. E.G place a cell in a petri dish it will continue to respire as long as it receives the correct components.

what the hell were you doing in biology class? stop thinking about which guys and or gals you are gonna hook up with for the horizontal grind and tube steak boogie and PAY ATTENTION in class
oh and dt with the mohawk icon and singing have basically the same anwer but sining went a little braininc with the Co2 vice just writing out carbon dioxide as well as the preppy mensa style e.g or er go - no latin please, but the mohawk icon was the better explination and used the ATP acronym rather than spell it out as ATP is just too damn difficult to pronounce and if said aloud just sounds gay.
