The best sleeping position for a pregnant woman after midpregnancy is on her left side. This position ensures unobstructed blood flow through the body because the major blood vessels — the aorta, which delivers blood from your heart to the other organs, and the vena cava, the vein that returns blood to your heart from the lower extremities — are slightly to the right of the center of your back. Of course, we all shift position many times during the night, so don't worry if you wake to find yourself flat on your back — but do turn back on your side.

Your left side will probably be the best position for you.

As you continue in weeks, you'll probably have more episodes of heartburn too.

Because the esophegus is bent slightly to the left, laying on your left side will help ease the heartburn and help you to release the air better.

I hope this helped.

Congrats, and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. I'm TTC right now!

At this early stage sleep in whichever way is the most comfy, and make the most of it for the next few months, soon enough no matter how many pillows you use to prop up bump, head, legs, shoulders, sleeping just isn't easy!!

go with what makes you comfortable. I have always been a belly sleeper, but when my belly started growing, I couldnt do that anymore. So I slept on my left side with a pillow between my knees, or a pillow under my knees.
