I have a 2002 Oldsmobile Alero. Two days ago I went to leave class and my car wouldn't start. I thought it might have been because I hardly had any gas and it was quite cold out. I tinkered with it and tried to start it a few times and it finally started. I drove to the gas station and filled up and went home.

The next day I left for school and it wouldn't start again. Again, I tried to start it a few times and it eventually started. I thought maybe I an issue with the fuel lines,... I drove to school and it started up just fine when I went home.

This morning I drove to school; no problems starting my car. I went on break and school and drove my car; still no problems. Then when I went to leave after class, IT WOULDN'T START. I tried for hours and it still won't start.

My battery is fine. Everything lights up and works. It's not the starter. Could it be a corroded wire? How should I go about trying to fix it. I don't get paid until next week. :(

How do you know its not the starter?? You do not say what happens when you try to start it. Does it just click or does it crank over just not fire? Or fire up but then die? Is the security light on?
If it just clicks check that all the connections at the battery are tight and clean.Have the battery tested to make sure you do not have a dead cell or low battery. Next check that the connection at the starter are clean and tight also. If OK do a starter draw test. Then replace starter if it fails. If it cranks and does not fire could be one of one hundred things.Fuel pump , ign module , ecm , crank sensor , etc.
If the security light is on the theft system is at fault. This causes a stsrt and die problem.
Good luck hope I helped
