Maybe your snake needs a companion. If that's not possible, you might try antidepressants. Either for you or the snake.

If the snake is wild caught like some are, try gerbils. They are the preferred meal for the ball python in the wild. They both come from the African savannas and the natural food for the ball python. They can go for months without eating so don't worry just yet. It may also be in hibernation phase being it is winter but not actually hibernating. If the temp/humidity is correct, substrate suitable, heat source and cool area a water bowl big enough for him to coil in I don't know what to tell you. But like i said it sounds like it was a wild caught to me. How long have you had him?

A lot of ball pythons won't even eat in the winter. Mine would not eat for almost 7 months once. Wait till about March or April.

I have 2 ball pythons and they like to eat live mice. I just put about 6 live mine in their cage and then instinct will take over and they will strike and grab, then eat the mice. Try to put 3 live mice in the cage and leave them in their for a little bit. Snakes can go a year without food. Don't worry.

ok let me tell you a thing or two about ball pythons, they slow their eating down in the winter and they will eat alot in the warmer months. i have 2 ball pythons and they haven't eaten in the past 6 months and they are known to go without eating for 2 yrs. you don't want to force feed a ball python because if you do you can make them shy to eat. what you can do is to keep offering him the food and he will eat. also make sure that the temp for him in the day is around 86 and at night it should be around 80-82. you need to make sure that his temp is warm. as long as he is drinking he is fine. mine didn't eat at all last winter and then they ate big time when it got warmer. so to make you feel better they can go longer without eating, you need to keep them warm, and keep offering them food no matter if they eat or not and then you will see that they don't want to eat in the cooler months. if you have any other questions about them just email me.

i might wait a minimum of two weeks until eventually now feeding him lower back.& i might start up with a smaller foodstuff merchandise. i could no longer rather speculate on what led to it. Warming a rodent previous a undeniable element motives gasses in the digestive tract to enhance, that could reason the rupture you defined. yet i do no longer think of i've got heard of that inflicting a regurge. How are his temps? some are very mushy and if their enclosure is only too heat or too cool, they might ought to reject a meal already eaten. continuously look ahead to no less than 40 8 hours after your snake has eaten to deal with him so which you do no longer reason stress to the snake and make him regurge his meal. additionally, in the adventure that your snake does no longer have ideal heating, he won't be waiting to digest his foodstuff and could in turn, regurge. it could additionally be well worth getting some digestion help it is presented in a powder form from the vets.. it facilitates enhance digestion in the 14 days he hasnt eaten sturdy success - wish this helped

Mine had the same problem. It was little older than the baby stage, and it wouldn't eat. I think it had to do with stress problems. The next ball python we got, we made the cage a little warmer and it did the trick [we think].
Anyway, goodluck =]
