I was a Brandy fan back in the day and I believe she is still very talented. It is unfortunate about the accident, I just read the family of the deceased is slapping her with a $50MIL lawsuit. (still wondering if she even has that much) which I think is a little extreme, at least enough so the woman that was killed child can get through life.

But we still have no proof if B-Rocka was negligent or not but going 65MPH seems a little suspect and should be investigated. I pray for both parties. No amount of money in the world can bring that woman's life back and I don't know what putting Brandy in jail for a year is going to do. I'm sure she'll be faced with the burden of knowing the lady got killed for the rest of her life.

The most she should get is to compensate for the child's loss and revoke her license.

I'm sure she did not set out that day to rear end a vehicle and kill someone. I'm sure if she could redo that day, she would do things a lot differently. It also appears that the police officers that policed the traffic crash did not want to charge her with more than a misdemeanor. Its the prosecutor or district attorney that is going for more. Also the family of the deceased are going after Brandy for $50M because of her celebrity status and probably because they think she's got that kind of money. I don't like these types of lawsuits. What price for a human life?

Yeah I do think it's stupid that people are acting like it was on purpose or something. Don't people understand that accidents happen? I understand the guy's family being mad, cause that's a normal human reaction. But the rest of us who have nothing to do with it? I mean... what if it were you that killed someone in an accident? Wouldn't you already be feeling bad enough without everyone trying to paint you as a murderer?

Now wait a minute. You mean to tell me that if someone accidentally hit and killed your mother or spouse or child, you would just shrug it off? Just because she is a celebrity does not mean she is above the law. Okay, so it was an accident. I realize it happens to everyone and she wasn't even drinking or anything like that, but it was still manslaughter. I feel sorry for Brandy, sure. Just like I'd feel sorry for anyone in that situation. But I'd still feel they need to be punished.

i agree with what you are saying i mean it is a shame that someone had to lose their life over someone else's action but accidents do happen and maybe it was just really her time to go. but dont blame everything that happen just on Brandy i mean we cant change the past because we have to live for the future...and thats what i think about that

I think because celebrities are held to a higher standard ( Lord only knows why ), and sometimes they get off the hook because they are celebrites. Take a look at the Paris Hilton DUI thing and with so many other celebs. but with brandy I trully think she is remorsful and she is going to have to deal with that for the rest of her life.

I like Brandy, but something somewhere in this spells irresponsibility, and if she made that mistake, she has to pay the price.

Due to the fact that she is a celebrity they want to ensure that she will be treated as anyone else. They are putting so much force on the issue because they don't want anyhting to happen like it did to O.J. Simpson, who was let off due to his celebrity status.
