Dolomite is a mineral.
It is a limestone, which comes from the Dolomite Mountains in North Eastern Italy.

The is also a lot of Marble, metamorphosed limestone, comes from this region too.

Its a rock composed of magnesium, carbon and oxygen found in large formations. Its similar to calcite in some important ways.
