I have a Windows XP, and a Creative Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit sound card. I was just curious if there's anyway i can get my voice onto the computer with my speakers...?

Don't use speakers ... they may work as a microphone, but not a very good one and you could damage your computer. Instead, you can get a cheap computer microphone for around $5-$10 and plug it into the MIC input. Or just any old tape recorder microphone with the appropriate jack.

Then:

Click START / All Programs / Accessories / Entertainment / and choose Sound Recorder. You can record WAV files of your voice with this.
The files are going to be HUGE. You'll want to convert them to WMAs or MP3s if they get to gigantic.
If the mic doesn't work at first, make sure it isn't muted:
Click START / All Programs / Accessories / Entertainment / and choose Volume Control.

Good Luck

You might be able to use your speakers as a microphone if you plug them into the MIC jack, but seriously that's not the best solution :) Speakers aren't designed to capture sound, but it does work (microphones can play back sound too, again doesn't work too well). If you have a microphone you can record with that, just plug it into the MIC jack, you can use Window's built in sound recorder to record up to 1 minute of voice, or get a real recording program like Sound Forge.

If you mean using your speakers as microphones, then no.
If you mean playing something through your speakers, and having the computer record it, yes. If you download (free) Audacity, you can go to options, have it record from your sound card, press record, and play what you want recorded.

A speaker makes a very insensitive microphone. You can buy a microphone for less than $10.

Hi. Mikes are cheap, but if you are really serious, a speaker CAN be used as a mike. Hook one up to the Mike input and talk into it. (I'm serious!)
