Men liked to be praised and admired. Do that while the guests are there. Tell them and him how wonderful he is. Remember good things. You can kiss him and say how much you are still in love with him. Whisper in his ear that you have some other plans for him when the guests go and kids are in bed. Write him a birthday card with a small present and put in a PS "See me later tonight for the rest of your gift."
It doesn't take much. Have fun.

First, I'd see if any of the guests feel up to having a sleepover for your kids, so you 2 can be alone for the evening. Don't tell hubby, then at end of party tell him you'll be following the kids over and will be right back.

About 15 minutes after you've left, call him from your cell and tell him you forgot about one more card he didn't get, and tell him where it's "hidden" (you could even make it your lingere drawer if you want to be extra fun). Then hang up. On the card, say something sulty and include the instructions he'll need for later (such as directions to where he's going, no need to bring anything but he may choose to shower or freshen up if it pleases him to do so).

In the meantime, you've arranged a hotel room for the two of you to stay at, and earlier in the day took anything you needed for a night of romance there (including anything he needed, even a change of clothes for both of you for the next day), and are actually heading to the hotel yourself as your friends won't be needing your assistance. (You can even make this illusion stronger by leaving the house with the kids and then meeting the friend down the block for a transfer).

The rest is easy. set up the room to your liking to create the mood (including "prepping" yourself in whatever attire you are choosing), and wait for him. You might even suggest a signal, like knocking on the door 4 times, so you know he's there. If you can get the hotel to play along, I'd suggest having a spare key ready for him at the front lobby (after showing his license of course) so he can come right into the room; that way, you can be "posed" for him without having to get up and open the door.

There's some thoughts. Good luck.

When the guests are there ... ask a friend to watch the kids for a minute, say you are going to use the bathroom or something. Then get your hubby alone in a closet, the bathroom, anywhere you know no one will interupt (BESIDES the bedroom. too blah). Then ... (whatever his fav. thing is ...)
Also ... you could bring him lunch at work or order him lunch from his fav. place.
Flowers. I KNOW it sounds weird ... but I've delivered flowers to guys before, and unless he's so completely not romantic at all ... he will think it's sweet!
Anything that delivers him a surprise from which you have nothing to gain!

Wear something sexy under your clothes then whisper in his ear telling him what you are wearing and press up next to him so that he can feel it through your clothes. Then tell him that he can see it all when the little farts go to bed....Just a thought...
