He seems to lie very easily which in turn, makes you distrust everything he says to you. I doubt if this will ever change..leopards never change their spots and men rarely do either. The way I see it..there are only two ways to handle this. The first is you separate or give him a really good fright by suggesting it..his reaction should tell you a lot also. Second..you practice not caring so much. Find something interesting that helps you channel that energy into something for you. Look after yourself...don't invest any more emotional energy in that direction until you at least see some return on your investment. See him as he is not the illusion you bought into. Yes..we all have flaws but some don't work well in a marriage situation and lying is one of them. Take Care...

Personally, family or not, I wouldn't give a damn what someone would think of my decision to not do drugs with them. Obviously though, you are upset about it or you wouldn't have posted your question. Since you're upset about it, I would just talk to your cousins and tell them how you feel.

What you (and your cousins) need to keep in mind is that employers can (and, I'm sure, do) administer random drug tests without notice. You make it sound like the only reason you decided not to party with your cousins is because you knew you had to take a drug test the next day. That's one thing I don't understand about younger generations. Those of you who DO choose to take recreational drugs make it seem like it's the most natural thing in the world to do - and it's not. For starters, it's illegal, it's expensive, it damages your mind and your body, it's addictive, and it has cost millions of people their families, jobs, reputations and homes. I just don't see where one little high is worth it. I grew up in the 60's though...what do I know?

I say that you need to make something out of yourself and this intern will help you do that. If you so called family can not see that then you do not need to be hanging around them. So just do not give a crap let them lead the lifes they want to lead and you be the judge of your own!

No, the next time you see them, act normal. If you party with them Feb. 11th, don't do drugs. Or, better yet, don't ever do drugs again.

You got to do what's best for you, and your cousins should proud of you, not giving you the cold treatment.
Take care of yourself and good luck with the new job.

tell them! because if you dont, i bet it will turn out like some american family sitcom where basic communication doesnt exist and the whole episode is concentrated on how all it takes is the person in question(thats you) to tell them why they cant go!
wow i hope this makes sense!

it's happened to me. It just means that when one person in the group starts to grow up, it means that everyone is going to have to too. It's just a reality check that you can't party for ever and that life needs to begin.

Don't give a crap. If they don't understand, screw them. They're being selfish and not caring about you. So ignore them.
