depends on what media it's trying todownload, and if you ahve installed the software.
DVD movies use a divx system.
Unless you have gone down the route of thinking that the download is free, but there is a monthly payment, if so check the terms and conditions, some will send an email with a password for you to get the downloads.
failing that a system failure, ie not the right media, ie xp, windows 98, ets.
