so my mother is in iraq for the navy reserves. she wants my stepdad to send her her thongs along with some other things. she says it makes her pants fit better. (she is going somewhere for about a week and she needs her civilan clothes). she's been there for 10 months now. we found an email in her myspace talking to my autn saying how she thinks this indian guy is hott,and he thinks the same of her. she says she told him she was married and he respects that. she has 4 kids. we tried convincing her she doesn't need them but she wants them to make her pants fit better...should we be worried about this?

not necessarily anything to worry about. My husband has been in Iraq several times, so I know there are some articles of clothing that work better in that environment than others.
As for the thong, some women just prefer them especially in civilian clothing.
Also, the Indian guy she is talking about, is most likely more of an "old fashioned" type of guy. Wearing a thong to impress them is almost counter productive, lol. If he had been "americanized" that is different, but Odds are he is actually from India, and they don't typically like our ways, lol.
Of course she is noticing other men. That is natural in the first place, then you ad in she hasn't been with a man in a while she is going ot be more inclined to notice these things.
Odds are if he is an Indian in that environment he isn't going to cross the line with a married American woman with 4 kids and a husband. I wouldn't worry.

Send your mother the thongs. She is after all in a war zone, do what it takes to make her happy since I'm sure she sees enough on a daily basis to make her unhappy. Who cares if she wears them for what ever reason. Why worry, your mom is a grown woman and can and will do what she pleases. Don't be distrustful of her, tell her that her panties are on the way and that everyone of you, step dad included loves her. then don't worry, besides this isn't your worry, it should be her husbands worry not her child's.
