What do you should happen to Harry at the end of the last book?

J K Rowling gets permission from Terry Nation's estate and the BBC to use the Daleks (or she just uses them anyway). So just when you think all is well and everyone lived happily ever after, eating biscuits, reading Which! and drinking coffee, in comes Lord Voldy (really Davros) and a load of grey Daleks. The rest is future, or is it the past? It's pretty boring scene really as they only have 45 minutes to do what they came for.
(NB: after inserting the government's subliminal non-smoking adverts to suggest to the younger population without them realising it, that everyone in the future 'must obey without question or they will be exterminated!', make that 41 minutes and 37 seconds to do what the Daleks *really* came for).
Harry dies saving four people (of which to add to the suspense is not going to be revealed by me at this time - clue, one is a Timelord) and transforms the whole Dalek army into caterpillars (Caterpilliusdaleki).
Meanwhile, the ginger-one (what's his name again?) has a quick fling with the Doctor after being dumped by Hermonie (something to do with not appreciating her enough and one of those "you don't really love me!", "Don't be silly, of course I do!" arguements along with JKR having met the world-famous producer, RTD2 for coffee one time in 2006).
The Doctor and 'Ginge' as he is affectionally dubbed, disappear into the time vortex in the Tardis to visit the Fingimibobbs of Mertucilous IV. Hermonie is a bit pissed off, so consequently decides to make him pay for it, by showing Neville what 'Ginge' is missing!
However, 'Ginge' is too busy to care, as he is proving to himself what Hermonie is missing!

How can Harry be a Horcrux? Voldemort went to the Potter's to kill Harry, remember? When that backfired, I don't think he had time, as I'm pretty sure the making of a Horcrux is pretty complicated magic, between when Avada Kedavra rebounded off Harry and when it hit Voldemort. What should happen though? I think that all of the Horcruxes will need to be destroyed in order to make Voldemort mortal. I think that Snape really is a good guy and was trying to protect Harry and Malfoy both from doing something horrible on the night of Dumbledore's death. I could go on and on about this, as I have several theories, and have just finished a 4th re-read of the series. I love to speculate!

Okay, it's already out there that Albus Dumbledore is dead. Ok. He's not coming back. No solid word on Sirius Black yet. As far as Harry dieing at the end - well, why should he have had to suffer through all that just to be unable to reep the benefits from it all? It would make the whole story pointless. Also, sorry to and Ron and Hermione shippers, but I think Hermione and Harry will get together in the end.

Despite what all the 'experts' are saying i dont believe Harry will die in the final confrontation with 'you know poo'
Moldywart were all pretty certain will bite the dust but the final confrontation may not involve harry at all - coz im still holding out that Dumbledore will do a gandalf and make some kind of appearance and do the evil one.
As for Harry he will prabably become the youngest dada teacher with support from the one who turns into a werewolf who's name escapes me at the mo.
In all i think a 'scooby-doo' style happy ending.

I think Harry (in the last book) will defeat 2 of the remaining Horcruxes and at the end will leave to defeat the others
Ginny will die protecting Harry
Snape will kill Draco then die himself or Draco will kill Snape
Neville will become the new Herbology teacher at Hogwarts
Hermione will be the Defence against the Dark Arts teacher and will be the first teacher in a long time to last longer than a year
Ron will get over his fear of spiders and will marry Hermione (natch)
Lupin will die saving Tonks
That's all I can think of. Hope the book is released to the public soon :)

I agree with Sarah L, Harry is not a Horcrux. I reckon Harry will live and go off to become an Auror or something more mundane. Either Moody or Lupin will cop it and Snape will turn out to be a secret keeper for something crucial. The whole secret keepers idea is too good to only use twice.

apparently one of the last words or the last word of the last Harry Potter books is "scar". my theory goes that many years after Harry vanquishes Voldemort, hes down the pub swapping memories with Ron and Hermione from their Hogwart days when he suddenly feels a painful twinge in his scar. leaving the reader wondering if Harry ever found the final Horcrux or if he really defeated Voldemort. this leaves things open in case J K Rowling gets bored and decides to write another one.

i reckon they'll both die and apparently the last word of the book is 'scar' but it has nothing to do with harry's...but i really hope everything is resolved and we're not left wondering what happened to hermione and ron etc. if harry is a horcrux that would make sense and would enable him to die for a reason but still in a way his death would have to be written incredibly well - i didn't cry when sirius or dumbleodre died so this had better be big one.

.think 1 of dumblore family members shall come to hogwarts to help out she will go in sylthin and also have a lot of dark secrects to tell also ron and hermione will get married and this girl will destoy the hordexes and when hermione , ron and harry are older they will be in a pub talking about when they were at hogwarts when harry scar will burn and he will wonder if voldermort really did die or not also neville and malfoy will be best m8tsi [the girl will be in the profit but dumbloedumdore never mentiod her ] and all died people shall come back 2 life when voldermort dies

According to a Daniel Radcliffe interview in the January issue of Sci-Fi magazine Harry dies and not too soon for Daniel as he doesn't want to make Harry his entire life.
