*I like him a lot. Plus I like players that other people tend to hate. The Bad Boys, like Dennis Rodman and Terrell Owens

- (Bonds has the most trading cards issued of him than any other athlete in the world)

He was awesome before these steroid allegations. He was a hall of famer before these allegations.

He's just an unbelievable ball player. His stats speak for themselves. Anyone who hates him must be jealous and looking for someone to bring down. Can't appreciate a good ball player.

-Through 2006, Bonds is first in career walks (2,426) and intentional walks (645). He is 2nd in career home runs with 734, trailing only Hank Aaron who hit 755; Bonds also ranks 2nd in extra base hits (1,398), 3rd in at bats per home run (13.0), 6th in on-base percentage (.443), runs (2,152), slugging average (.608), and total bases (5,784), and 7th in RBIs (1,930). Bonds also tops the list of career home runs in the National League, having eclipsed Aaron's previous record of 733.

-Through 2006 he also leads all active players in home runs, RBIs (1,930), walks (2,426), intentional walks (645), on-base percentage (.443), runs (2,152), games (2,860), extra base hits (1,398), at bats per home run (13.0), and total bases (5,784). At the same time he is 2nd in doubles (587), slugging average (.608), and stolen bases (509), 3rd in at bats (9,507) and hits (2,841), 4th in triples (77), and 8th in strikeouts (1,485).

-Bonds has won the National League Player of the Month award thirteen times which is a record for either league. The next highest in either league is Frank Thomas who won the A.L. award eight times and the next highest total in the N.L. is only six held by George Foster, Pete Rose and Dale Murphy.

I'm not a Bonds guy, I was at one point though. I get sick and tired of players of any league dodging questions when it comes to issues like this. Shawn Marriman (SP?) at least came forward when he tested positive this year and achknowledged it was a mistake. If Barry didn't do it, then why doesn't he just say so. He knows what he did and know that everyone is on to his little game, it's too late becuase he's 22 HR's shy of breaking the most hallowed record in all of sports.

I'm a huge fan of Bonds as a player. I'm not concerned with his boorish behavior off the field - that beautiful swing of his has no equal. The man can play ball - he's my favorite player, past or present. I'm not going to get too bent out of shape on the steroid issue - I'm assuming most players were using some performance enhancers during the "steroid era", and unless you can show me which opposing pitchers were *not* juiced, then I don't think we can ever determine what the advantages may have been for any particular player.

I'm not a huge fan but I don't hate the guy. I think he comes off as rude etc sometimes just because it's his way of dealing with the media... and that is how the media projects him. there are so many atheletes that are the same way (not just in baseball), but don't have to stand in his spot light. As for the steriods? He and everyone else used them at a time when it was legal.

Yes, I am a Bonds fan.

Even before steroids, he still hit the big homeruns. People only judge him by what he did now, not what he did back in the days.

It's like if in the next five years Derek Jeter would take steroids, and they would only remember the steroid using Jeter and not the cool good guy Jeter.

Barry Bonds symbolizes all that is wrong in baseball. He is a doper and uses his wealth to hide that fact. He wants to cheat his way to stardom and that makes him even more shameful than Pete Rose who is banned from the game. I saw Bonds play in Pittburgh where he was a good player noted for his speed. He was skinny and fast, good hitter but not much power in a park with a short right field fence. He completely changed his body type as did Sosa and McGwire, two people he is insanely jealous of. I remember during the baseball strike he went into court to reduce his child support payments to a woman in Pittsburhg to whom he had kids. He was making six million dollars a year and wanted to reduce his meager monthly payments to his bastard kids he fathered. Barry Bonds is a creep of the first magnitude.

I am not a Bonds fan. He cheated by using steroids and has a bad attitude. He is an unapproachable jerk and doesn't deserve any respect.

I'm not a fan of him but I respect him for what he has accomplished. He has never been convicted of steroid use and until he is I will consider him one of the greateset if not the greatest baseball player of all time.
