Hopefully it won't come to that, but what are your opinions on the possible event.

Well we would have to have a draft, obviously, we would bomb Iran into the stone age, but we would probably create a situation like Iraq, Iran has a lot of various factions too. Like one of you said, the people of Iran don't hate us so I think the situation will resolve itself in time. As it seems right now their President will probably lose any re-election bid, though of course it would just be to the lesser of two evils.

Obviously he isn't going to go to war if the Iranaians don't provoke us, I don't know why you can't see that. Please don't call our president names, you can disagree without insulting. Despite what the majority of people think, yes I am referring to both Liberals and Conservatives.

Congress can't impeach him for something he has the power to do, the only thing they can do is deny the funding for the military, the war powers act is un-constitutional.

Iran is actively trying to provoke a war with the US. If they are successful many people will die and the anti-war loudmouths will blame us.

put your head between your legs and kiss your butt goodbye. It will totally destabilize the Middle East, gasoline could easily reach $5.00/gallon and it would usher in WW3. We cannot afford to get into another war, we hardly have the forces right now to do this surge this twit is talking about, unless they go back to the draft but make sure that no one is immune. This includes all of the prez's rich friends' children. It will be such a domino effect. Bush is currently ratcheting up the rhetoric on Iran, using the same play book used for Iraq. However, since every thing they said leading up to the war has been proven to be a lie, no one will believe him even if he comes up with incontrovertible proof of Iranian attacks on Iraqis and US soldiers

We lose, and for all who think America is the strongest country in the world better look at reality. We can't even take care of an enemy that isn't even coordinated like a military let alone take on an advanced military like the one in Iran. Think Iraq was bad just wait and see what Iran does to us. And to the republicans who support any war drop the paranoia before you really get us in some ....

IT would be an absolute blunder and Bush has already been told he will get no support!

I would not put it past him though, and their is no evidence Iran is building a bomb! And we know it isn't true if Bush said it! They are enriching Uranium to the 5% that is necessary to build a power plant, which is specifically allowed under Section IV of the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty! They certainly have no 98% that is required to build a bomb!

If we had really wanted to go after Iran, Reagan should have done so after Hezbollah killed 242 Marines in the barracks bombing in Beirut. Instead he ran!

If Bush starts a war with Iran without Congressional approval, there is a great liklihood that the House will vote to impeach him. Source: Rep. John Conyers on yesterday's Stephanie Miller radio program.

We go smoke Iran's @ss, and leave them in nothing but rubble. There will be no nation rebuilding when we finish there. They will be worse off than the Afghan people in the late 80's. there is a big difference in the war we are fighting in Iraq and th one we would wage against Iran. Iraq is a nation building police action. Iran will be a seek and destroy mission, while instilling the greatest damage to the military and the infrastructure. We will bomb them unmercifully!

Iran turns into a large parking lot. They attempt a nuke, they get erased.

I doubt this will happen, because aside from the government rhetoric and the mullah rants, the Iranian PEOPLE do not hate us.

If we are serious about it, we could take Iran in a week. If we are going to poke it with a stick and yield to the politically correct crowd, it could be another 5 year war.

It probably needs to happen soon

(Thanks Carter, for nothing)
