Despite what you may hear, almost every parent has found themselves without a diaper at a particularly stinky moment at least once. For me, I thought I had more diapers than that in the diaper bag and hadn't actually looked into it, I just reached in and grabbed so I ended up out. Anytime you are without what you need you have two options, buy it or leave. You can ask another mom if she has one you can borrow or you can make a makeshift diaper with lots of papertowels and run as fast as you can home. If you are just a couple minutes from home, grab the baby and go and change the baby there. If it's going to be awhile (traffic, distance etc) change the baby and use clothes, papertowels, a borrowed diaper or whatever you can. It is a mall, there should be somewhere where you can buy diapers and many malls have diaper dispensers in the family restrooms. And from now on ALWAYS check your diaper bag and take it with you when you leave. There is no such thing as a trip so short you won't need a diaper or wipes or maybe even a change of clothes.

First of all, why would you go to the mall without any diapers? This is the general rule: if it is inconvient for a baby to poop at that time, they will do it. haha Always be prepared, no matter how small of a trip it is. I was never without diapers at the mall, of course I ran out at the house a time or two, but they can go naked for a while at home.

Panic, and either continue to carry the little poop machine around and pretend like you don't smell a thing (not good for other shoppers) or leave the mall, buy some diapers, change the kid, and remember to always from that point on leave a few diapers in the car for just such occasions!

get to a nearby pharmacy and get the smallest package they have available... - the travel size. hahahaha
Actually, once in a very big mall, I went to this bathroom that was labelled "family bathroom" or something like that where you could go with your kids, and husband all at once, and had 3 toilets, a big one a medium and a small one, and a urinal for small kids... anyway... thay had a changing table and diapers available for $50/ diaper, and they offered 3 sizes, 2, 3 and 4... plus dry wipies, that you could moisten in the sink and use, anyhoo... that was such a great relief!
I think the malls should invest in that. Really do.
I don't usually forget to bring the diapers, but my husband forgets more often.

Dont go anywhere with a baby and not have enough diapers. If that happened to me, I would leave the mall to go buy some diapers.

I make sure that I never do that. I always bring 1 to put in my purse and a baggie with 3-4 wipes in it for such times. The one time I didn't I had to go to Wal-Mart which was attached to the mall at the time and buy my baby a whole new outfit and a small package of diapers. From then on, I always carried one with me. LOL God Bless

I would either buy some from a store, if the mall had a store that sold diapers. Or I would go to the restrooms and buy a diaper from the vending machine, this is usually found in the family restroom. What did you do???

If it's not too stinky I keep on trucking and change her when we get home. I had this happen in the middle of the grocery store. We only had 3 lanes left so I kept going but I got some pretty nasty looks. Now I keep a diaper and a ziplock of a couple of wipes in my glovebox so that I can take her out to the car if I need to.

Go and buy some diapers and baby wipes then kick yourself in the butt for not taking extra diapers and a diaper bag.

Buy diapers.

Some family bathrooms have diaper dispensers or buy a whole new bag at a store. And next time don't forget the diapers.
