I would have to say that it's because they're vapid, self-centered twits who need adulation from the masses, but have no clue what the real issues are.

They do not wish to be connected or associated with anything for fear it would tarnish or destroy their image and reputation. Some do, but a lot do not stand up for rights and stuff. Fuddy duddy's
