Honesty in the right places. It's best most of the time to be your friend's therapist. We all think when we make friends that we're just making friends, nope, we're hiring therapists. The best rule for an undying friendship is a psych major. lol

Just trust and care about each other. That's it for me. Different friendships have different rules. It depends on the friends and the closeness of the relationship.
