I don't really know the first thing about it. I thought I did, when others around me were pregnant, now I feel like I know nothing. I know that I have to give up my vices, like smoking and my beloved coffee. But other than that, clueless. Please help. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Try babycenter.com that's a good one. Babyzone.com is pretty good. Askdrsears.com, has a lot of good tips too. Also, you don't have to give up coffee...most Dr.'s will tell you to limit it to less than 2 cups a day. Do some research, but not too much. If you read everything there is on pregnancy and the do's and don'ts you'll make yourself crazy. Just take it easy, be healthy, avoid stress as much as possible. My Dr.'s advice was "You're pregnant, millions of people have been doing this for millions of years. Don't stress about it, ENJOY IT!"

Well I am pregnant (also a first timer) and I am 10.5 weeks. I have the book "What to expect when you are expecting". It's helpful for anything that could happen that your not used to. For me I feel pretty normal (luckily I got no morning sickness) but there are a few things that happened. I had slight constipation and a lot of bloating. I have a hard time brushing my teeth because it makes me gag and I feel like I am going to puke. But the thing about it is that everyone is different when it comes to pregnancy. But I would go to the book store if I were you and look through all of the pregnancy books. That made me feel a lot better. Also asking people what things they went through helps me too. Good luck and don't stress!!!

Just 4 hours ago my sister found out she was pregnant! Me and her hugged and cried of joy. I'm proud of her! We went to the library and got out some books today. I heard a good pregnancy book is What To Expect When You're Expecting. Another is Chicken Soup For The Expectant Mother's Soul. Visit www.nestlebaby.com. During my other sister's pregnancy, she visited that website almost every day! That's how interesting she found it.

This place is a good start. If you have questions, the people on here give some really good advice.

I subscribe to some pregnancy newsletters, and that's also helped with a lot of my questions. Pampers.com sends me weekly updates on what's going on each week with the baby, what's developing, and anything that my body might also be going through. It's been really helpful. I will definitely sign up for it again with the next baby.

A great website is www.babycenter.com. I loved the book "The Pregnancy Bible" by Joanne Stone M.D. & Keith Eddleman M.D.
Make sure you get started on prenatal vitamins ASAP. Drink lots of water and get plenty of rest. Congrats!

I get most of my information from my What to Expect When Expecting book. I also signed up for the weekly emails from Babycenter.com. They will tell you about the growth of your baby week by week.

Don't be scared. If you feel you need advice go to your doctor or a near-by clinic. They should have brochures. Congradulations & Goodluck!
