I thought matter makes up everything. My science teacher says that there are some things that aren't made up of matter. What are some of these things? I'm not sure I get what my teacher is trying to say. Some examples/websites explaining would be helpful. Thanks!

sunlight is energy; the heat off a campfire is energy; wind is energy; the waves that hit the beach ? you got it !! energy. the lightning that stikes the earth is energy.
