Unfortunately, sexism is approved and supported in a very sophisticated way by the whole power structure. Even in the cases you can not refer explicitly as sexist and chauvinistic, you can recognize the very pattern. For example, in the cases where women are less paid for the same job, or where man is given the advantage, although his female colleague is equally good and qualified for the same position. Or in media, for example: If the journalist introduces a woman who is working in some high position, very often he is adding an epithet like "this cute blond lady president", or "this long-legs director".... These epithets are not necessary vulgar and offensive but look rather like the compliments. However they put this woman down referring to something LESS than she actually is. People usually don't use such epithets for a man, but rather refer to what he actually is or has achieved in his life. When we abandon these linguistic frameworks and learn to recognize the manipulation and inappropriateness in something that looks like a compliment, I think the great job will be done.

The genders are different - I think society looks too much for equality in two things that are not equal. Rather, a better approach might be to look for equivalence - different, but equally important.

Rosemarie B - a quote for you. "The facade of a man's strength is his greatest weakness, the facade of a woman's weakness is her greatest strength"

I think that is probably the truest thing I've heard about gender differences.

Whetin - My grandfather told me a story about when he and my grandmother visited Europe. In France, he was standing at the urinal doing his business and a local couple walked in.

They held hands while he urinated a few spots down. He was needless to say, shocked.

He said a few says later, in a different bathroom, he was doing the same thing and a lady walked out of one of the toilet stalls. Nobody but him seemed to think it odd at all.

I wonder... does this mean sexism is non-existent in France?

i do no longer think of demonizing sexuality is a thank you to circulate approximately it. i'm professional equality, yet i'm additionally professional nudity, or perhaps porn as there's no longer something incorrect with the human physique and sexuality. I additionally see no difficulty with advertising intercourse, as i could be for greater male semi-nudity. btw, i admire self sustaining women individuals. a number of my well known 'person' movies have women individuals in dominant positions over adult adult males. I delight in 'reliable' women individuals photographs in movies. (Kill invoice, ask your self female) the adult adult males who're sexist would be that way with or without photographs of 'scantily clad' women individuals. Demonizing those with aggressive libidos isn't a thank you to circulate approximately troublesome sexism, in my opinion. It additionally won't artwork and could only make greater adult adult males pissed at feminists.

It will never end because male and female are different. Males are better in some things and Females in other things. Women will never be as good as men in 100 meters dash and Men will never be as good as women in ballet for example. And sex will always matter because if i need someone to do something in wich men are better then i would pay more for a guy and if a i nee someone to do something for which women are beteer then i would pay more for a gal.

Truthfully, I doubt it will ever end...for every woman that makes strides forward...there is handfuls of women (girls gone wild) who will only make sure the perceptions stays as it is.....

education would be the only way...mothers need to teach their daughters not to act the part of tramps , whores, and air heads...but act with dignity, honor and to have self respect ........

Most will probably not like my opinion.......but how can a person be taken seriously when they present themselves in clothes that are two sizes to small with fat rolls hanging out the back , front and **** crack showing..........appearance and how some one presents them selves should not be used as a determination of ones intelligence... but when dealing with first impressions it does.....if you went to a surgeon and the person was unclean with a grim built up on their skin and blacken dirt under their nails ...talking to you about surgery....wouldn't you have reservations about the person....or will you still be looking at all his/her diplomas on the wall........

it will take perhaps forever to end. despite the fact that dual-income families are on the rise- women having good jobs just like their husbands, the mentality that men rule over women will always be there. that ego.

never. Women are biologically programmed to compete with each other and so will not do the required teamwork to make this possible.
