I love variety, but I'm so confused by all the choices of Vaseline...Cocoa Butter Deep, Total Moisture, Advanced Healing, Moisture Locking Lotion...etc etc

I'm looking for a vaseline that'll take off all makeup from my face including waterproof mascara, so would any one of those work?? Or do I have to stick to the sticky no frills petroleum jelly kind that I can get in a store brand for less?

No big choice to make. Use baby oil. Any brand. I have sworn by it for most of my life. I am 46 years old and my Mom (honestly) asked me yesterday when she was watching me put on my make-up how old I was. She made a comment that I had no wrinkles around my eyes and my skin looked so nice. I have had people try to sell me stuff that costs as much as $20 a bottle to remove my eye make-up. Trust me, it's baby oil. I also use it immediately after getting out of the shower. I use it before I towel dry then I just dab a little with a towel for any excess water. Why pay for frills when you can get beauty from simplicity.

anyone here saying it's alright to do this is CRAZY! there are make up removers!! pretty much anything chemical is bad for your skin.. even make up removers and whatever.. I would actually recommend dabbing olive oil on a cotton and wipe it off THEN make sure you wash your face with soap and water afterwards. I still wouldnt do it b/c I am acne prone and have oily skin, but if you have great skin and is not acne prone, I suppose natural olive oil is much better than vaseline and baby oil.

I use Vaseline petroleum jelly to take my water proof mascara off & it works great! And its also really good for your skin so you are moisturizing as well as taking your make-up off! You can also use vaseline for your lips & other things too! I hope this helps! Good Luck :)

none of those things are good for removing eye makeup - particularly mascara. If you want to go cheap, try the store brand of cold cream or baby oil. But be very careful that it doesn't get into your eyes

I agree w/Starbourn. Clinque is the way to go! Not just for cleansing but as an all around beauty supply. My friend has been using Clinque products for years (which I had) and she looks 20 years younger than she actually is. I mean, really, we are talking about your face here! You can get away with buying cheap pantyhose and nail polish, etc., but you really need to pay when it comes to your face.

if you are not prone to breaking out due to oils on your face or things like that than the regular Vaseline jelly in the tub works really well for eye makeup. (not your foundation just use cleansing soap for that)

Don't use vaseline for that. It will clog your pores and you'll get painful white bumps called millia around your eyes.
Use plain old makeup remover from the drugstore. You can find cheap ones.

Your best bet is to purchase a good make-up remover. You should invest in a good skin care line that will be appropriate for your type of skin. It might be a little costly, but your skin is extremely important, and never too early to start a good regiment. If you take care of your skin now while you are young, you will have beautiful, healthy. youthful skin when you start to age. I know you might be thinking, wrinkles are a long way off, but......trust me, it is never too early for prevention!!!

i totally agree with skinpro about having those bumps on the skin around your eye if you use vaseline because that's what happened to my skin. my skin is sensitive kind tho.

go for makeup remover.
