I live in a house in a suburban area with two dogs. Many people keep telling me that since don't live in the country it would be bad idea and the dogs might not get along with it. I want to get this one from a rescue place and it says that the pig is house trained to go in a litter box. What do you think?

Pot bellied pigs make great pets, but even though your pig is housebroken, he will still need access to the outdoors to do pig things, like rooting. So if you don't mind him tearing up your yard, then a pig could be great for you.

We had a pet pig when I was little and for no reason at all he tried to kill my puppy.

They can be mean and in my experience they smell terrible.I also think that they are kind of ugly.

You can if you want but there is a possibility it will get huge. They said that our pig would be aroun 30 pounds becuase he was a miniuture pot-bellied pig. He ended up being around 250 pounds. (we gave him to a farm/petting zoo)

they can make great companions and can be taught tricks just like a dog would. i have heard that they get along with dogs. i think that they person who said that they're pig tried to kill her dog was just a wierd exception. i also believe that the same person must have over fed their pig for it to get that big when it should have stayed relatively small. i have always wanted a pig and i believe that you would be very happy with it. just make sure that you are ready for the responsibility and wont get rid of it when it gets big, because it will! good luck!

I like ham and bacon. Pork chops are good too. But farm animals should be kept on the farm. Not in the house as a pet.

Nooooo, a pig needs to be outside and have fun in the mud. They are dirty.
