Gold coins from Queen Anne could be 5 guineas, 2 guineas, guineas or half guineas. The value depends on the condition.

In poor condition, the value might be down to just a hundred pounds or so (the value of the fold). In Fine condition, depending on which coin denomination it is, value would be around £400 for half guinea or guinea; about £700 for 2 guineas or £1700 for 5 guineas.

For coins in extremely fine condition - i.e with the fines detail still showing - values are 8-10 times this amount

The value varies hugely for the same coin, depending on its condition. The words used in price catalogues for condition are stylised, and it is difficult for a non-enthusiast to decide which one applies to his coin. But a Queen Anne coin would be listed in "Seaby's Standard Catalogue of British Coins", so see if your local library has a copy or can get one.

A coin dealer would have nothing to gain by being completely truthful with you, and something to gain by being judiciously less than truthful. Only a specialist auction house would give an unbiased estimate, and it may be difficult to find one outside London.

WOW Lucky ware did he find that. I don't know much about price, but I think it is either English or Spanish. You could go to the nearest museum and see what they think. I bet you could get at lease $100 of that. It is just a hunch though. I love there kind of things.

If you could send me a Email tell me how it goes.
Good luck.

Your dad can go to a unique store and see what the value is on it, or he can go to the pond shop.
