I believe,

we treated slaves in America very badly but I have some history for you and anyone else who sees this.

No kingdom as large as Kush and askum emerged on the coast of East Africa. Instead, several city-states dominated coastal trade in the Indian Ocean. Sailing ships were powered by seasonal monsoon winds. Trade routes linked all shores of the Indian Ocean. Africans exported gold, ivory, hides, and tortoise shells. They imported porcelain and weapons. They also sold slaves.

Basically slavery is still going on today and it was not just us who took part in this.

People think history is not important but if you don't know the past you'll make the same mistake in the future.

Most African American people blame us and we have much to be ashamed of. But I don't think anyone should be afraid to be white when the same thing was going on in Africa. We are most looked at but actually African American culture supported slaves and found them necessary. The weight is not all on Americans.

My answer is that I do not think it is fair to have "black history month" by itself we should have a national holiday to celebrate all races and cultures.

Yes because America saw it fit to erase and corrupted the history of blacks. To replace it with that of slaves, it the least they could do.

Here is the proof that they don't tell you.

In 1832 a U.S. Senator named Henry Berry said to the Virginia house of Delegates: "We have as far as possible closed every avenue by which the truth may enter the slave's mind. If we could extinguish the capacity to see the truth, our work would be complete. They would then be on the level with the beast of the field".

Willie Lynch said:
Our experts warned us about the possibility of this phenomenon occurring, for they say that the mind has a strong drive to correct and recorrect itself over a period of time if it can touch some substantial original historical base and they advise us that the best way to deal with this phenomenon is to shave off the brutes mental history and create a multiplicity of phenomena of illusions, so that each illusion will twirl in its own orbit, something similar to floating balls in a vacuum.

Though black history is important,I don't think it should be celebrated. I think the act of dedicating a month to celebrating one races history, and not doing the same for all others is an act of discrimination in itself.

You don't need to celebrate Black History month(or anything for that matter) if you don't want to.

YES. We should. Because Black Culture has been demeaned in the past and nowadays there are still too many ignorant racists who haven't understood that Black Culture and History are as important and worth as any other. We should celebrate Black History NOT to forget how it's been unjustly demeaned in the past, and NOT to let such a thing happen again, other than TO LEARN many important, valuable things that would certainly make us all better people. Peace.

Yes, but I think we should divide all of the holidays in half and start celebrating them every other year. Especially Christmas, so people can get out of debt.
