Super Bowl XX was the 20th Super Bowl, the championship game of the National Football League (NFL). The game was played on January 26, 1986 at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana following the 1985 regular season.
The National Football Conference (NFC) champion Chicago Bears defeated the American Football Conference (AFC) champion New England Patriots, 46–10. The Bears set Super Bowl records for sacks (7) and fewest rushing yards allowed (7). The Bears 36 point margin over the Patriots was a Super Bowl record until Super Bowl XXIV. The Patriots were held to negative yardage (-19) throughout the entire first half, and just 123 total yards in the entire game, the second lowest total in Super Bowl history.
Bears defensive end Richard Dent, who had 1.5 quarterback sacks, forced 2 fumbles, and blocked a pass, was named the game's Most Valuable Player.

Patriots. Grossman could have been scared sh**much less and folded like a backyard chair against the Patriots protection. besides the reality that the Patriots offense could have some struggles against the Bears protection, Brady remains greater valuable than Grossman and with a balanced attack in Brady and Maroney working the ball, they could have won easily. result: Patriots 24 Bears 10 Brady: 17/31 203 yards 2 TD's a million INT Maroney: 22 rushes ninety 3 yards a million TD Grossman: 13/26 176 yards a million TD 3 INTs Jones: 26 rushes eighty 3 yards
