Is this right ???? Math question?

O.k. so I have to find the vertex point ....

Here is what I have figured out so far

The point on the graph ( creates a U shape ) are

(0,0) - (1,2) - ( 2,8) and so on

would this equation match it ----- Y = 2x^2 ????


Also how do I go about finding the vertex point??? Thanks

the graph is a parabola.
y=2x² is a good formula.

The general formula for a parabola (vertical) is:

y = (1/4a)(x-h)² + k
the vertex is given by (h,k)

So this one's vertex is (0,0)
