I mean, Oscars have been handed out to a LOT of people over decades, for many different categories... maybe every now and them some winner's heirs may find out they have no use for that funny little statue at their homes, and could check what "street value" that might have...

Have you ever seen/heard of someone sell one of those cool guys on Ebay or else? If so, how much do they sell for?

NO! The Academy has very strict rules about those kind of things....there would be BIG trouble if that kind of thing would occur.

Since 1950 the statuettes have been legally encumbered by the requirement that neither winners nor their heirs may sell the statuettes without first offering to sell them back to the Academy for $1. If a winner refuses to agree to this then the Academy keeps the statuette. Academy Awards not protected by this agreement have been sold in public auctions and private deals for six figure sums (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academy_Award).

SO, if it was one received before 1950, then you could possibly get your hands on it, otherwise, no way.

The Versa needed to be ordered with the cruise. Throttle is electronic and I do not know there any options that will work. SORRY. I would not have some aftermarket company cut into my new cars engine control wiring harnesses. Could cause loss of warranty and real peoblems with the cars computers that all talk to each other via. CAN and LAN circuits. Automatic Speed Control is something preprogramed in at the factory

As I recall there was one once that was being sold in a Los Angeles pawn shop for about $5000. I think it was one of the technical awards for an old movie that they give away in the separate untelevised ceremony. The recipient was down on his luck and had to sell it. Probably an award from the televised ceremony would run you much more than that and who won it and what the award was for would effect the price as well.

I've never seen on on eBay...they usually wind up in charity auctions run by major auction houses or being donated to museums, but you never know. It could happen.

The Academy gives out Oscars with the specific requirement that they may not ever be sold. Winners must pledge that they will comply.

Christie's, a famous auction house in New York, has auctioned off some statues, but I think there are regulations and that the academy can take them back

They sell replicas on Amazon.com. And I am sure if you really wanted a real one you could find someone (maybe ebay) to buy it from.

Not for living actors. I believe the Academy is more lenient if the original person that received it has passed.
