My College housing selection is upon me and I'm think of getting a single room. That way I don't have to deal with anyone bs. I'll have my own space and be able to keep and neat and clean as I won't.

The only draw back, is it 7440 for the year.

Now what I'm thinking is peace of mind vs debt?
Which is worth more?

So should I do it go for the single room?

I plan on filling and applying for as many scholarships as I can knowing the added cost.

Now the question is peace of mind worth more that debt?

Part of college is learning to live with people and making lasting friendships. Why would you pay more to give up the valuable opportunity to learn life lessons and perhaps find a friend in the process? In my opinion you should save that money and be ready to handle the few inconveniences that come with living with a roommate.

NO: Your college years are growing years, the terrible and disgusting people you meet at this time will make you a better person in the future. To loose this very important life changing experience and have to worry about paying a bill that you should not of had, is the worst thing that can happen to you. You will not gain peace of mind, trying to pay this bill.

You can stay in the dorm, and work at odd jobs. Build your finances and get away from the geezers that shake up your world. You will appreciate the experience later in you life.

If you can't pay for the single room... then you'll need to suck it up and share your room.

We all have the nightmare stories of the horrible roommates.... this way you'll have yours too.

Also, if you do the math and divide 7440 by 12, that's $640 per month. For 9 months, that's $826. Would you be willing to pay that much in rent if you weren't looking at a dorm. If no.. then you can't afford it.

I can definitley understand the question. I had a few college roommates from Hell. But I can also say that the experience after dealing with them has helped me growing personally. One of the best things about going away to college and living on campus is comradery with other college students and building lasting relationships. So I my vote would be debt...............

As a former "starving" college student I say, "suck it up" and go with the roomate. The debt you would incur by going with a single room will be a burden to you much, much longer than any problematic roomate.

i like McCain using fact he has extra journey - you may say Palin would not have plenty journey, yet i'm not sure that she has any under Obama. you're clever to declare which you such as you knew extra, 'cuz I desire I did too. i'm in contact approximately Obama - at first, what does an area organizer and lecturer understand approximately working the rustic? 0.5 the time he has been a senator he's been campaigning. 2nd, i'm in contact approximately countless the individuals he's linked with - maximum worrisome is Rev. Wright and bill Ayers. observing the debates has not replaced my ideas approximately him, yet I do experience extra delicate after listening to what he has to declare - if he wins, i desire to experience valuable approximately the place the rustic is headed. And, i observed this night that they have relatively plenty in common (like power) yet some considerable modifications like Iraq and wellness care. It looked as though it would me that a number of their responses looked as though it would echo one yet another. i think of it fairly is critical vote, and that i think of you're able to be stated to vote, and no count if or not you compromise with me, i can declare we agree on one ingredient - it fairly is stable to ask questions concerning the applicants and take your vote heavily!

think about all the other things you could spend that extra money on. comprimising with someone else isn't that bad - especially when you know you save X dollars and that means you can leave and go out to dinner or buy tickets to a concert or something. Just spend the money on great reasons to be out of your room!!!
