i heard that a guy gets one yellow rose...i dunno. so i need some help...if it is one yellow, where can i get it from?? ((its for valentines day))

it really does depend on the guy... whether he's OK with it or likes it.
i was told this from a reliable source; that roses have certain emotions or meanings behind the color.
Red= love, in love,
Yellow= friendship, just want to be friends,
Pink= like, just superficial crush, or nothing serious,
white= purity, or saving myself for your, or even marraige,
deep Burgundy= that still close to Red & is more of passionate love,
black,.... well, when these emotions were assigned to these colors, i don't think they were producing/ selling Black roses. although guys-what they are today, probably think Black Roses are kool. it's more for sorrow, so they can be appropriate during funerals, as Red roses are usually taboo at funerals.
purple... like i said this color was not being produced way back then. so i don't have any meaning for that.
White with red trim... that leans over more to white/ Purity, but could still have meanings for both Red & White.
how many??? what would a guy care. i don't really think the quantity would matter but as i said, depends on the guy.

It depends on the guy. Some guys like flowers and would love a bouquet of a dozen red roses. But other guys may feel totally emasculated by this. For something more masculine I'd go with yellow or white and stick to one. You can easily get this at any grocery store with a floral center for about 3 bucks.

I think yellow roses are supposed to signify something bad, like illness or something. Maybe you should get that really really dark red/burgundy colour? I think a bunch is a bit more girly so I'd go for 3 or 4 big ones with some dark, unusual greenery with it. No gyp. though!!

I don't give my husband roses I give him tulips because that is his favorite flower, and he looks at them and smells them everyday until they are dead just like I do the yellow roses he sends to me.

noooooooo! do not get a yellow rose! a yellow rose is for sympathy. i like the old cliche of a single red rose and his fave choccies.

most guys aren't into the flower thing. but if you do give him flowers, one is ok. you can also give him a box of chocolate or something. guys like food
