Of course I would choose the life to be free to do whatever.
Because then I could choose to be a hero saving lives, getting little rewards, and sharing that life with someone I love in a relationship.

Live the life as I am now.
The hero's life you described sounds exciting - but boring at the same time. What is the point of having an exciting life if you can't have someone to share it with?

You can save lives and live a normal life at the same time: see Firefighters of Doctors for instance;) So, I see no reason why anyone should make such an extreme unnecessary choise;)

Let me tell you something, I help people alot,ok
I do it from the bottom of my heart, almost everyday.
I do not expect rewards for helping others, you should not either.
I find the biggest reward, is that after the job is finished, you feel great inside and proud of yourself.
