A policeman who drove at 159mph on a motorway was found guilty of dangerous driving and given an absolute discharge. However, in 2003, car dealer Jason McAllister was caught doing 156mph in his BMW M3 3.2litre in Scotland. He was jailed for five months.

i don't think it's fair, fare or fayre!

sorry, couldn't resist

anyway i've got my serious head on now.
the police can do that, u find out years later that they were a free-mason, pulled strings & generally took the mick!
what bugs me
is they look at us & immediately judge us as scum.
well if the negative media is 2 b believed, some cops r worse than the so called criminals!
we should judge them by the same standard!
where there's 1 or 2 bad apples, they'll b more.

the police, given their place in society, should b treated harsher if they break the law.
harsher & rid this country of the inequality that we have.

No cops get away with that all the time. I've almost been killed by a cop doing this twice. Saw a family get run off the road because a cop doing around 120 didn't see him. At no time was a light or siren on. The cops were going to the station for a shift change.

the law is nowhere near fair and i dont think it ever will be. it amazes me how people can do the exact same crime but get different sentences if they get 1 at all, the law needs 2 change where no matter who or what u are you get the same sentence. the government wonder why there is so much crime mayb if they impose tougher sentences on these people they may think twice b4 commiting any crime

I absolutely agree that this is unfair and unjust.I think that police officers aren't above the law. If he had caused an accident would they still sweep that under the rug.

No the law sucks. He should have been sentenced too. Just shows you how pathetic the law is. It don't mean that Jason was right though..

I don't think our laws are ever fair! You are right. They will put an old man in prison for council tax, and let a real criminal go!

I would not worry too much about it now. The prisons are over crowded so now one is going to prison for speeding.
