I don't think they had plans to kill her off. When Julia Barr (Brooke) was fired and they didn't give her a proper farewell - or Vincent Irizarry (David) - Dixie spoke up to the producers and obviously they didn't like it. It makes me sick that Dixie & Tad couldn't have found their daughter together. And Tad & JR were just getting used to having her back. They should have been able to be happy together. Now they have to go thru the grieving process again. Those writers/producers are just wrong!

I'll say it again. Instead of the writers and producers having any control, the "suits" in New York are running the show, and since none of them probably ever watch a soap opera or read comments from people who do, they just go off all half-****** and screw up everything. I've been watching this show for over 30 years, and it's become a caricature of itself. It's hard to believe that only 9 years ago they won for Best Drama. Well, that ain't happening now.

Thank you! I was thinking the same thing the other day. That show keeps going further and further downhill. Bad writers, bad plot lines and not so good actors.

What a shame.

I agree, and the new camera technique is horrible as well! But knowing soaps, and people coming back from the dead, she may be back. I hate it when soaps do that!
