I have Asperger's, and I realize that eye contact is an important behavior for adult life. In the 20 years of my life, I haven't been able to improve this behavior. Does anyone have any tips? Has anyone had success?

Have you had success overcoming other areas of difficulty? What methods worked?

Maybe people you are close to can tutor you - remind you every time you do not use appropriate eye contact. Let everyone know you are trying and need help.

Are you in a school or vocational program? Maybe they can help, too.

I'm not familiar with "asperger's" and it's symptoms, but I think if you make a conscience effort to say Hello and smile at passers by while making direct eye contact is good practice. Usually, you get a positive response.
