They always blame it on the Jews.... Hitler, Ahmadinejad, Mel Gibson, etc. all wanna blame the Jews for every war on the planet. Why is it then that Darfur, Chechnya, Indonesia, Somalia, East Timor, the Phillipines, French suburbs, and of course the entire Middle East are all wars being carried out by jihadist Muslims against infidels? Can anyone find a current conflict that doesn't involve them? Who is REALLY the cause of all the wars on the planet?

There have been only three causes of war among men, the desire for land, revolt of the downtrodden, and religious belief that "God wants them to". All major conflicts (in History) that were not over land and were not a slave revolt or revolution of the underclass were the direct result of Christians who believed that God wanted them to convert people or torture the devil out of them or the result of Muslims who believed that Allah wanted them to kill all the infidels. The belief that there is only one true way and that believers should convert non-believers has proved fatal.

Absolutism is the biggest cause. It's the difference between these two statements:

1. "I'm right and you're wrong."

2. "I'm right and you're wrong, therefore I can kill you."

Mostly it's religion responsible for this (99.99%) but communist ideologies are equally capable of it.

Not one secular and open society has every committed an atrocity. Not a single one.

there is no one special group of people who are responsible for every war.....we have war on foreign grounds to wars in our backyards whether it's a politician or gang banger. War is inevitable. No one race or culture is responsible for it. It is our human error to think we can label people and place blame on one group because it makes it easy to categorize (laziness to know the real truth) and causes us to shift our own ignorance, fear, and own vices to another so that we feel better inside. Moreover, people have a need to want to be 'needed' and to want to be special and want to have power. Many go by whatever means to feel included, special, and accepted and they do that either by ganging up together, forming groups, forming a militia or book club centered around common ideas whether if its relgion or not. And ultimately they want everyone to conform to this because it just adds to their feeling of self-worth and in some sense creates a sense of false hope to know that they are in some sense "GOD" on Earth.

A current conflict.............????? look around. Watch the news. It happens down the street in every ghetto and rich neighborhood of every city or village in the world. War is never going to end as long as we have the need to empower ourselves and have a need to be the one that controls and owns everything that makes us happy and "respectable". We all want followers in some sense whether if its your kids or your colleagues or your subordinates or a group of individuals who you look up to and want to help.

xenophobic paranoia.

Early man needed it to ensure that his tribe got all the food and other resources they needed to survive. Now, instead of sharing resources, we still fight for the right to control our way of life.

It will take an external (extra-terrestrial) threat to shift man's perspective that "us" means humanity.
