my finance is paying a certain amount of child support towards his ex wife and he is worried once he becomes a manager, she'll get more money. He is already struggling with money and knows for a fact that the child support he sends goes towards gambling and alcohol. Is there anything can he do?

If she files for an increase he should counterfile for an order that she account for the child support, including receipts.

Review the child support order and make sure he is paying a correct amount. When his pay increases, she will file to modify child support. If he makes more money than part of it SHOULD go to his children for support. They are his blood. It takes a lot to raise a child today. If he think that she is drinking and gambling it away he needs PROOF of that and then take it to the courts, if she is not and is using it for rent/mortgage food, clothing then there is nothing that he can do about it.

Your Fiance will always pay child support as he should. After all he did put his penis in his ex-wife and they did make a baby and he is responsible for it. He should be grateful that she never took him to court and made him pay spousal support.
Speak to your fiance and discuss; if you do marry him, if your income would determine his child-support amount.
My boyfriend also has a child which he pays child support for and he took his ex to court and she had to sign a bunch of legal papers stating that she could not go after my earnings once we were married.

As long as the children are in her care and being cared for she can do whatever she wants when she gets her child support checks. If and once he makes moremoney she can definetly take him back to court and get an increase.

There is nothing he can do. Unless he can prove she is unfit and get custody of the kids. Every time he gets a raise she can take him back to court for more money.
